City of Atlanta to Open Warming Center Ahead of Frigid Weather

ATLANTA—The City of Atlanta announced the opening of an emergency warming center in anticipation of frigid temperatures. The center will open tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 at 11 p.m. and will remain open through Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021 at 9 a.m. The warming center will continue operations throughout this week. The complete schedule is listed below.

  • Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021 – 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 – 11 p.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 – 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 - 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Monday, Jan. 18, 2021 - 11 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.


Please note: all dates and times of operations are subject to change in accordance with local weather.

The warming center is located at the former Ramada Hotel, 450 Capitol Avenue S.E., Atlanta, GA 30312.
